For days you need a quick, easy dinner, but you still want something that tastes like it took a good amount of effort, this is a perfect recipe to save. These Asian chicken meatballs with a soy sauce glaze are great with some rice and satisfy your craving for an Asian inspired home cooked meal that doesn’t take a whole lot of effort.
The meatballs are made with ground chicken and Asian seasonings and the glaze is made with a mix of soy sauce, vinegar, and few other ingredients to bring out the flavor and textures. I love this recipe (and it is a repeat in my house) because after a long day, I am usually craving some rice and good Asian dish to pair with it. Filipino flavors are usually my go to, but sometimes I like to branch off the traditional Filipino dishes and spice it up a bit.
My husband on the other hand LOVES any type of meatball dish. He isn’t always craving Asian food, but that is why this recipe is perfect for my house because it is a great compromise. I get Asian food; he gets meatballs. Win, win! And on top of that, this is an easy recipe that doesn’t take much time at all. We make this recipe probably every other week, and it may become a staple for you too once you try it out!
How to make the Asian Chicken Meatballs

You are going to need the main ingredient, which is obviously some ground chicken. You can also use turkey, beef, or pork, but I personally think chicken is the best with these flavors, so thats what this recipe is going to use. Then just mix in all you seasonings into the ground chicken. You will need breadcrumbs, soy sauce, vinegar, garlic, ginger, onions, oyster sauce, and sriracha. Mix it all together, shape into little meatballs, then pan fry them in some oil until they are golden brown all around.
You can also air fry or bake them for a healthier alternative. Frying them in going to give you the best crispiness, but you can’t go wrong with air frying or baking as well.
How to make the Soy Sauce Glaze
Start by taking a sauce pan and sizzle up some minced garlic and ginger then mix in a little brown sugar. Then add in the soy sauce, vinegar, chicken broth, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, and some sriracha for some spice. Keep stirring it and bring to a simmer. Then add in corn starch to thicken it up. keep stirring until you have a nice glaze consistency. Mix in your meatballs, and you are ready to serve! These are best with some rice but they also pair well with mashed potatoes or some roasted potatoes and veggies.
